Westmoreland teen and dog win National Dog Show – WPXI

Natalia Backos and her dog, Boozer, both won big at this year’s National Dog Show in Philadelphia.

The 15-year-old won $5,500 in scholarships as the top junior handler, according to Channel 11 news partner Tribune-Review. Boozer took Best in Breed among the Parson Russell terriers.

Boozer is “very food driven” and loves hot dogs and broccoli, said Backos, a sophomore at Greensburg Salem High School.

The recorded broadcast of the National Dog Show begins at noon on Thanksgiving Day on WPXI.
