In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, therapy dogs visited children with cancer at the Cancer and Hematology Center at Texas Children’s Hospital.
The dogs, part of the Pawsitive Play program, provide support to children who may be having difficulty coping with a hospital stay, a new diagnosis or a medical procedure.
Therapy dogs Bailey, Pinto and Pluto, along with their handlers, usually visit patients individually, but for this special visit they have teamed up to bring joy to all the children on the oncology floor.
