Although considered man’s best friend, not all cities allow pets for puppies. Greenville is however, as it has recently been recognized as one of the best dog locations in the United States
Compiled by travel website Lonely Planet, Greenville was one of 17 places to visit and take your dog. Greenville was named along with other cities like Tampa, Florida, and Phoenix, Arizona.
Jennifer Fleischer, a Greenville resident with two golden retrievers, described Greenville as “incredibly dog-friendly” because many stores welcome dogs and often have a water bowl for dogs outside of stores.
Fleischer described the ideal route in Greenville for many dog owners: taking their puppies downtown for a walk around Falls Park. She also shouted out places like Blueberry Frog, which has frozen yogurt for humans but also treats made for dogs, and Woofgang Bakery Greenville, a bakery for dogs.
