ELYRIA, Ohio – Police say a man stabbed a dog to death as he went into a “fit of rage” after the dog allegedly bit his son.
Andre Williams, 24, was first charged with animal cruelty after Monday’s incident at a residence on the 200 block of 16th Street. Police say further charges are possible as the dog later died at a veterinary hospital.
Officers were called to the residence around 4:37 p.m. by Williams’ roommate. Police found the dog stabbed and Williams reportedly admitted to stabbing the animal, saying it bit his son.
Police did not release information about the breed of the dog. No further details were released Thursday.
