Dog bites Amazon driver, man attacks nursing home worker: Chagrin Falls police blotter


SORROW FALLS, Ohio—

Animal Bite, East Washington Street:

Chagrin Falls EMS rushed an Amazon driver to hospital at 12:37 p.m. on August 3 after she was bitten by a dog while delivering to a home. The information was forwarded to the Cuyahoga County District Attorney for review.

Assault, Hamlet Hills Drive:

A combative nursing home resident punched an employee on August 7. The male resident, 96, was taken to hospital for a mental assessment. The employee did not want to file a criminal complaint.

Theft from a car, chemin Solon:

Someone stole a gun from a man’s vehicle shortly before he reported it at 1:30 p.m. on August 2. The unlocked vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the apartment complex. He didn’t know what day it had been robbed.

Information, Pheasant Run Drive:

After a woman reported two credit cards and a cell phone stolen from her home at 5:42 p.m. on August 3, it was determined she placed them on top of her vehicle before driving off. A credit card and cell phone were found on the side of the road a short distance from his home.

Criminal Mischief, North Main Street:

Someone defaced a resident’s mailbox with graffiti on the night of August 5. The resident reported it the next morning.

Traffic Stop, West Orange Street:

Police stopped a vehicle at 7.32pm on July 29 for a traffic violation and discovered the driver was using a suspended licence. The South Euclid woman, 30, was cited and released pending a court date. His vehicle was parked.
