Lincoln’s Capital Humane Society (CHS) is offering 50% off rates for puppies and dogs five months and older this Halloween season. The promotional event, called “Howl-O-Ween” will be held at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center from Tuesday, October 11 through Friday, October 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 15. 16 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m..
CHS’ Matt Madcharo spoke to KLIN News and said that typically a two-year-old dog costs about $175 in adoption fees. And while potential adopters may still have to pay top dollar for license and rage fees, residents will still enjoy significant savings this week.
CHS found a 21% increase in dog consumption. With so many dogs in their care, the CHS encourages future pet owners to take advantage of this reduced rate of adoption fees this week.
